The youth meet on Sunday evenings during the school year.  This group is open to all youth from grades 6-12.

Special activities are also scheduled throughout the year.

Classes are held every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.  Graduation is the first Sunday in June and students are put into the appropriate class based on the grade they are going into in the fall.

Grades 6-8

This class is currently led by Jill Eberly.

Grades 9-12

This class is currently led by Tim Kahn.

The Dowel Rod Ministry is a group of youth who perform special programs with dowel rods in the dark.  The dowel rods are glow in the dark and each participant of this ministry wears all black so that only the rods are seen and the music heard.

SWUMC encourages all children and youth to attend summer camp.  It truly does create a strong Christian fellowship among the campers and also provides each camper with a powerful experience to enrich their relationship with Christ.

The United Methodist Church is affiliated with Impact 2818 which operates four camps across Indiana for children and youth Grades K-12, including parent/child camp and family camp.  Scholarships and financial aid are available.
